This policy explains what Fancy Text Generator (fancytextgenerator.live) collects when you use the site, and what it never collects. It is written in plain words on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it simply.
It covers the tool itself, the contact form, and the basic technical running of the site. Nothing in it is hidden in legal language on purpose.
The short version
The generator runs on your own device. We hold almost no information about you, we run no accounts, and we never sell personal data. The details below cover the few things that do exist: browser storage, server logs, cookies and contact messages.
Your text stays on your device
The generator runs inside your browser. When you type words into the tool, they are styled on the page itself, on your phone or computer.
Your text is never sent to our server, never stored by us and never read by us. Close the tab and nothing of what you typed exists anywhere on our side.
Favourites and recent styles
The tool can remember your favourite styles and the styles you used recently, so you can find them again fast. Those lists are stored only in your own browser, in a feature called localStorage.
They never leave your device and we cannot see them. To remove them, clear the site data for fancytextgenerator.live in your browser settings. That deletes the favourites and recent lists completely.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. These logs record technical details such as your IP address, your browser type, the pages visited and the time of each visit.
We use these logs to keep the site secure, to spot errors and to see basic visit counts. They are not used to build advertising profiles, and they are not sold or shared for marketing.
Logs are kept only for a limited time. After that, the hosting system deletes them or reduces them to anonymous totals that cannot be traced back to a visitor.
Cookies
This site runs on WordPress. WordPress may set a small number of technical cookies, mainly for site management and security. Ordinary visitors using the tool do not log in, so most of these cookies never apply to them.
The generator itself sets no tracking cookies. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies at any time, and the tool keeps working without them.
The favourites and recent features use browser storage on your own device, as described above. That storage is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and it stays under your control.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages and styles help readers most. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address.
This data reaches us as totals and trends, not as a record of what any one person typed or copied. The generator still runs on your own device, and your text is never part of analytics data. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings and the tool keeps working.
Contact form and email
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we receive what you choose to send: your email address, your name if you give one, and your message.
We use those details only to reply to you and to fix the problem you reported. You are not added to a mailing list, and your message is not passed to advertisers or data brokers.
We never sell your data
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent it, trade it or share it for marketing. That is a flat rule with no exceptions, and it covers contact messages, server logs and anything else this policy mentions.
Children
This tool is a general audience text utility. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal details, write to us and we will delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you. In almost every case the honest answer is: nothing beyond any message you sent us yourself.
You can also ask us to delete that message, and we will do it. Send the request from the same email address you wrote from, so we can be sure it is really you asking.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We hope you will write to us first, so we can fix any problem directly and quickly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page and the date at the top will be updated. Big changes, such as adding a new service that collects data, will be covered here before or at the same time as they go live.
