What this service is
Fancy Text Generator is a free online tool that restyles plain text into Unicode fonts, decorated styles and text effects. The tool is provided as is. There is no sign-up, no account and no paid tier, and there is nothing to download or install.
The text you make is yours
The words you type stay yours, and the styled text you create is yours to use anywhere you like. Use it in bios, captions, posts, videos, products and commercial work. No attribution to this site is needed, and we claim no rights over what you make.
Styling your words does not transfer any rights to us. We never see your text anyway, because the generator runs in your own browser.
This also means we cannot recover styled text for you later. Nothing you type is kept on our side, so save the styles you love in your own notes, or in the favourites list in your browser.
Using the styles fairly
Use the tool honestly. Do not use styled text to impersonate another person, to mislead readers, or to pretend to be an official account or badge.
Other platforms have their own rules about names, symbols and formatting. You are responsible for following the rules of the app or service where you paste the text, and for what happens to your account there if a field rejects a style.
No warranty
We test the styles on this site and check the claims on our pages before publishing them. Even so, we give no warranty that a style will look the same everywhere.
Phones and apps render Unicode characters in their own ways. Some characters may show as boxes or blanks on older devices, and some apps block certain characters in name fields. A style that works in a caption may not work in a username, and no tool can change that.
Availability and changes to the site
We try to keep the site online and the tool fast, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. The site may be updated, paused or changed at any time.
Styles and pages may also change. We add new style packs, improve old ones and sometimes retire a style, for example when an app stops supporting its characters. The style count on the site always shows the real number in the engine at that time.
If the site is ever closed for good, we will say so on the homepage ahead of time, wherever we reasonably can.
What belongs to the site
The design of this site, the logo, the generator code and the written content on our pages belong to Fancy Text Generator. Please do not copy whole pages or present the tool as your own. Linking to any page is always fine.
The Unicode characters themselves are different. They belong to no one, they are part of a public standard, and they are free for everyone to use, on this site or anywhere else.
Liability, in plain words
This is a free tool, offered as a help and a bit of fun. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using the tool or from being unable to use it, including text that an app rejects or displays in a different way.
Nothing in these terms removes liability that the law does not allow to be removed. If a problem with the site causes you trouble, tell us and we will fix what we can.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page and the date at the top will be updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
A simple governing note
These terms are meant to be read with common sense first. If a disagreement ever comes up, we would rather settle it by email than by lawyers. The terms are governed by the laws that apply where the site is operated, kept deliberately simple for a small free tool.
